The Flu (along with other sicknesses and bugs) has been really going around here lately so I wanted to post a few steps to help avoid the spread of these illnesses.

• GET THE FLU SHOT.

(I know shots suck but this is really your first and best line of defense against getting sick.)

• WASH YOUR HANDS FEQUENTLY.

If you notice you haven’t washed lately, wash them. Especially important if you’ve touched something a lot of people have been touching (doorknobs/handles) and if you’ve been shaking people’s hands.

• AVOID TOUCHING YOUR MOUTH, EYES, AND NOSE.

This is how germs get in and out of the body and get you and others sick.

• STAY HOME IF YOU ARE NOT FEELING WELL.

This is very important in reducing the spread of illnesses. If you are not feeling well, call into work or school. It is better for you to stay home and get well than it is for you to go in and spread it to everyone there.

• HOW TO KNOW IF YOU HAVE A COLD OR THE FLU.

I’ve attached the below graphic to assist you in diagnosing your illness:

Is this helpful? Have you been sick this flu season?
