My excuse for not posting much ๐
You
all may have been wondering why I have been so quiet lately. Well, yes, the dead laptop, cracked phone screen and the waste of a tablet certainly didn't help.
But something else has been going on. I have hardly been drinking coffee, or anything with caffeine in it. It hasn't really been intentional. But as it continued, or maybe more precisely, ceased, I started to think there was a lot of merit to it.
I have known for some time, at least back to 2012 that when I consume caffeine, 4-6 hours later I am drinking alcohol.
In fact, I never really drank either until I was 21. I was living in a house with a heavy drinker but it was at the time energy drinks were coming on the market. I was starting my computer fixing business and had to do a lotta walking to advertise...
From that point on I became a very regular caffeine and alcohol drinker. Despite all the downsides. The jangled nerves after too much caffeine wanted alcohol, and around it went in a circle. My drinking at times caused me very big problems. One incident almost landed me in jail.
So I am probably going to be a bit slow for a while.
I will be back, properly, soon, but this could take a while.
I have also been cutting back on smoking tobacco too... Mainly just smoking hash instead. But I want to not be spending any money on these things. I have been feeling this last year like all these things, though least of all cannabis, have been slowing me down and keeping me stuck.
I am sick of being stuck!
We can't stop here! This is Whale country!

Caffeine, nicotine and alcohol love each other's company.
You've just started a hard war, but go, go, go!
Stick with it, I do my best to reply when I can. There are real people on this site.
I really hope you find your way and get "unstuck"๐just stay positive that 2017 is going to be your best year ever ! Good luck ! Steem on !๐๐๐ ๐
Did you say computing hash?
No, moroccan blonde ๐ haha
I'll look out for her on the streets.
Good call. I had my first coffee in ages two nights ago. I like feeling awake and switched on but the after effect stretched brain feeling / mental cylinders not firing lasted into the following day. Oughta be over it today though.
Older Dutchman's top tip: don't smoke hash or the like if you are feeling less than happy. Please.
My view on the world is smaller at the moment. Just waiting. It isn't like there is much to do at the moment. It helps the time pass. I was given a gift this year and I am a bit wobbly after it also. I am incubating ๐
Coffee! Guilty feelings here, especially with the warmth now inside me. Interesting the alcohol thing though: On Saturday, first day of 9 off work, I treated myself to a second cup; yesterday I would at 3:30am, wide awake, and so are a sandwich and had my morning coffee. I then had a second sleep, but really a caffeine unconsciousness and then woke at about ten feeling drunk. It's not making me want alcohol, it's making me feel like I've had alcohol.
Wow, that's maybe a really interesting side effect of sleeping with a stimulant (caffeine) in your blood. Do you sleep well when you drink coffee before it?
Like a said, a caffeine unconsciousness, so not really a good sleep. Mostly I only drink coffee once a day, at about 8am, and mostly I don't sleep immediately after that. How long is the caffeine in the blood? I'm sure it messes with my sleep a bit, but I'm not feeling chronically tired these days.
Researchers recommend that don't drink coffee 6 hours before sleep because it messes up sleeping quality. However, they recommend to drink a cup before an afternoon 20 mins nap.
lookin forward to the posts
Seems you came to an inner agreement with yourself, a very strong one.
Times of change often come with chaos at first, but once new patterns emerge things all fall into place again.
Good luck on your new chosen path.
