A Nursing Home in your Backyard

One of our social issues right now and one of the biggest financial and familial challenges right now is caring for aging parents. I have recently been through 3 of these experiences with one remaining.

The stress and time drain on a family traveling back and forth from the nursing home. We find ourselves ridden with guilt that we can not handle their care and feed your own family at the same time, it is daunting to say the least.

Add to that, everyone in the family as well as the elder, needs their own space as well as feeling of independence.

The costs are astronomical and rising exponentially. A few years ago my elderly aunt as example started in minimum care at $7,000 per month and escalated to special dementia care at well over $10,000 per month. I can not imagine what this year or next will be,but it could quite possibly bankrupt many families at these prices.

Now there is a growing industry that helps mitigate as relieve this dilemma... Granny Pods (otherwise known as "Medcottages") as a prebuild medically smart modular homes. These are prebuilt to drop on your existing property... which adds value to the property as opposed to needing to mortgage it to pay a facility.

These elder-care-focused tiny modular homes are actually state-of-the-art living spaces. They combine independent living with safe, advanced care technology and surveillance. Thanks to those involved in answering this urgent need... we will all be there one day (if not already).
