Realities...

Don't freak out cuz it's a gun...

Freak out because it is an awesome gun, for reality.

As most here are scooping up crypto-currencies as they can prior to a financial crisis, some may also be thinking they will need protection as they all have in countries that collapsed before. Russia, Argentina, Venezuela and so many more... you may want to read this classic book on a first world country collapse in 2001 before you say you do not like guns or would never own one. Maybe you should just read this to understand a different concept, that hopefully you never need but are prepared for if the need arises.

Another Example

How many Gay folks were into guns before Orlando incident?

Now... they are in record numbers as catastrophe hit and they woke from their biased toward them:

Just type into google: "gays buying guns in record number"
And these pages come up.... About 17,000,000 results (0.36 seconds)

Many People do not like guns until they need one.

They believe guns are bad... but the question to them is, if you had a gun would you use it for "bad"?

But then when they need one, they just go and buy one without much research, training, use or understanding what they are purchasing. So many people opt for the new and cooler semi-automatic types, like Glocks, Sigs, Sprigfields, etc... but do not consider all that is involved with them, their strengths and weaknesses, manual of operation (arms), that is very involved especially for a newbie.

Revolvers are thought of as old and outdated, outclassed and definitely not as cool. But in reliability, simplicity and power...they got it hands down. I mentioned some of this in a couple of prior articles:

Semi Automatic Pistols

I like them, own quite a few in different calibers, but for close street encounters... not my favorite. Yes they have more rounds but I am not Jack Bower and I do not plan to stay out in the open walking directly at 10 attackers. I will be running for cover at the first shot, I do not need to spray a location with 15 rounds. Anyway in revolvers they have far less misfires (practically nil when you use proper ammo), this can not be said of the numerous malfunctions of the semi automatic. Probably why so many officers I work with always carry a revolver as a back up, (they carry semi-autos due to department mandate and their combative role or paramilitary approach).

The Nitty Gritty

The Chiappa Rhino 200DS in .38, .38+P, .357 (convertible to 9mm).

This unique firearm has it's barrel on the bottom as opposed to the top... yielding less felt recoil and muzzle flip.

This revolver is a rock solid protection and

Additional Benefits

The 640 pro mentioned above is my EDC (every day carry), but here is another one that has astounding virtues that I would like to discuss today a bit. Like the fact that it has an extra round of capacity, better targeting for a new shooter, the ergonomics are very new and cutting edge, but the most important facet is the way it functions in personal attack situations.

  • 6 Rounds of .357 Magnum, more powerful than .40, .45, 9mm, .38
  • Conversion for another caliber (in SHTF Scenario you do not know what will be available).
  • Great Grip(essential in close hand to hand fighting
  • Little recoil and no muzzle flip to get on target faster
  • The unique angle of the grip give your wrist and fist a stronger hold against disarm attempts or fumbling.
  • Also good for punching or striking with the firearm.
  • Hammer is internal so you can shoot from your pocket if needed in colder carry situations.
  • Sharper edges to twist in an assailants hands that will force release.
  • Cylinder rotates in clockwise direction so if grabbed you can turn your wrist to allow a shot.
  • Trigger is thick metal, will not break in a wrestling for the firearm situation (like many weaker pistols have).
  • In real self protection situations this sure fire model is strong enough to handle even multiple assailants.

A video explanation and comparison

Never think that something won't happen,

just because it hasn't already. Learning options (and acting on them) to be fully prepared, is far better than not having invested the time and process needed, when needed.

Awesome gun! We don't have a revolver, yet. Our Kel-Tech 9mm is our current home defender. It's a nice little gun, but I have experienced misfires when using cheap ammo.

Ammo is important for sure, when it is your life... the costs of ammo is not what you bargain hunt on, for target practice yes as the malfunctions are good to help practice for "what if". Nice gun indeed... at least you have one!

We have a .38 Cobra I keep for camping trips and other ventures. Plus we have a few shotguns around here and there!

Yup a shotgun for the home...can't beat it.

They would make a mess of any intruder in the home.
