Well thank you!:o) I'm sure that position requirements vary by organization, but a degree isn't required to be a page (one who cleans and shelves books), or a circulation person (places holds, checks items in and out, general customer service and computer help) in our organization. Youth services, Adult programming, Cataloging, Management, IT, and Administration positions all tend to require at least a Bachelors degree or a Masters, but a lot of districts have continuing education funds and grants to help pay for the cost of some advanced librarian training.
