Great post. But I do have to disagree on the part that says that motivation will make you or break you. More important than Motivation which ebbs and flows like the tides of the ocean, is discipline. Discipline is the most important trait for success because when you are not motivated and do not feel like doing something, if you have the discipline, you will do it any ways even if it is not pleasant or pleasurable at the moment. Those that consistently do what they have to in order to get ahead in life no matter if they feel like it or not ultimately will accomplish their goals and become self fulfilled.

We're able to be gratified instantaneously just by swiping at our phones. Hell, we even get whole seasons of a TV show right away at once instead of having to wait for it to air every week.
