The Walk with My Godson

It was a special day for me today. I went for a walk with my godson. It is my first godson, I christened him when he was just 6 months old. I don`t know how it goes in other countries but it is such an honor to christen a baby in Ukraine. 

Godmothers are responsible for spiritual upbringing of a kid. They should read them Bible and take to the church. On Christmas godchildren visit their godparents,  bring them fruit, candies and kalaches. Kalach means wheat sweet bread in Ukraine. And in turn godparents give gifts to their godchildren. I think it is a nice tradition which makes godparents and gochildren much closer. 

Kirill visited me on Christmas too and today his parents entrusted me to take their son for a walk.) I got so much pleasure. Kirill was very excited to watch the falling snow. He can`t speak yet but he was pointing his finger at snowflakes and smiling. We still have a Christmas tree in the street so I took the pictures of him near it. It was really an unforgettable walk.  Time spent  with kids is helpful not only for kids but also for adults. Because this way we come back to childhood again and learn to be happy with small things around us - such as snow, rain, the sun. Be happy my friends!
