Miranda Castle: abandoned castle in Belgium

in #life7 years ago

Built in 1866 in Belgium, the Miranda Castle (later known as Noisy Castle) was once a lavish residence of French aristocrats who fled to Belgium since the French Revolution. The castle originally ordered the Liedekerke-Beaufort family to replace their former castle from which they had to escape thanks to the angry citizens of France. The family lived in this gorgeous palace until the Second World War when it was taken over by the Belgian railroad, which inexplicably turned the castle into an orphanage. During this time the castle was named "Noisy", or "Loud Castle". The orphanage was moved to another location in 1980, and the castle was finally abandoned in 1991.

After being abandoned this once luxurious mansion became completely disenchanted. Floor tiles were removed or stolen, the vandals made holes in the walls and started a few fires. Time made it easy to dirt come in every corner of the castle. Now ruins are mostly visited by urban explorers and ghost hunters who can not resist the fact that the castle was an orphanage. Different ideas such as being converted into a hotel did not produce a fruit that caused Château Mirandi to be demolished.
