5 ways to cheat your brain!

Have you ever wanted to change the way you see the world? Would not it be fun to hallucinate during lunch breaks - and that it was legal? Although we commonly associate such emergencies with powerful drugs such as LSDs, there are other, safe ways: Everything that you need is a basic understanding of how the human mind works.

In recent years, scientists have come up with a few simple tricks that reveal the skills of our senses, by which we can see what does not exist. Maybe we even manage to hear the voice of someone who is no longer alive, or get the impression that our nose suddenly 3 meters long.

1. Ganzfeld's procedure

Start by turning noise on the radio (frequency between radio stations). Turn on the red light and turn it to the position where you will lie down. Then slice a ping pong ball, slid into the couch and put half of ping pong ball on the eyes. Some claim that bandage or sleeping mask is enough , but it is not guaranteed to work.

Within a few minutes, you should experience a set of sensory disturbances. Someone sees the horses in the clouds, or hears the voice of a dead relative ... someone colors and strange shapes ...

The human mind is accustomed to the sensation and the event, so when we block the senses (because of this we adore the ping pong balls in listening to noise), mind begins to 'invent' one's own.

2. An unusual way to alleviate the pain

Scientists from Oxford have announced the discovery of a new powerful pain killer: Inverse binoculars.

They found that when the respondents saw the wounded finger through the 'upturn' side of the binoculars, which makes their finger seem to be away, they feel a much smaller pain and an accelerated decline in the island.

So the next time you hit a (probably a small) toe or you're being cuted, do the service: look through the binoculars upside down.

3.Pinocchio Illusion

This way to trick your brain requires two chairs and a blindfold.

The person wearing the crotch should sit on the backseat and look back in front of the person sitting in front. The person with the crotch should put his hand on the other's nose (front) and at the same time hold the other hand on his nose. Then you should begin to kiss your nose slightly and after about one minute you will have the feeling that your nose is as long as Pinokio is lying.

It is important to note that this experiment did not show a hundred percent successful results, although more than 50 percent of respondents had a long nose.

4. Rubber arm

If you own a (realistic) rubber hand, for example, a hand of a puppet's hand out of a cloak ... then this hallucination is ideal for you.

Start by letting your hand out below the box on the table and putting your fingers in front of you. You have to position your hand so that from your viewing angle it looks like yours. Then stretch out the other hand so it looks as if you have both hands in front of you on the table.

Ask your friend to sit across your path and rub for your right and false hand for a few minutes. After a few minutes you will feel like a fake hand has become a part of your body.

When you get the feeling that your fake is yours - let a friend forcefully hit the hammer. You will feel a strong pain and anxiety because you have successfully cheated the brain, thinking that a false hand belongs to your body.

5.Purkin's light

Jan Prukinje, one of the founders of modern neurons, has discovered these hallucinations as a child. He first closed his eyes (important!) and then nuzzled his head so his face turned toward the sun and started to move his hand forward and back in front of his eyes. After a few seconds, Prukinje noticed a number of 'beautiful shapes' that became more pronounced.

The scientists adopted this method and made special glasses that simulate the light blocking process. This stimulation seems to be making short joints in the visual part of the brain. His cells start firing unpredictable bursts, which leads to the perception of imaginary images.

Hey! Your post definitely looks interesting, but without any links to your sources and credit for your pictures, most people will just ignore it. Especially in #science, you need to properly show where you got your information from, because there is too much pseudoscientific junk.
