Travel Blog #2 Prague , Czech Republic 🇨🇿 #PublicAgent finds beautiful girls ... maybe - part 1

Prague, the heart of Czech Republic has a lot to offer however you have to dig deep .

Firstly I wanna share something that I stumbled across just recently so if I made the mistake of not going , PLEASE try this extravagant BEER SPA ! Yes you heard me ,  Immerse yourself in a warm whirlpool bath of hot water enriched with hops, malt and living cultures of brewery yeast that have a rejuvenating effect on your skin and more.  All this while you drink a cooled lager.

Now that you're all clean and smelly let me tell you about my short trip to Prague in March (I suggest May to September as it was snowing in mid March and freaking cold as you could imagine) .

I was there for a short 3 days with 1 day of playing a poker tournament during the Eureka series so only 2 full days of discovering this unpolished diamond. If you'we been to London , Paris,  Barcelona, Prague is different it's raw.

I think I should share a little wiki history so you get the feel of it's unsettled past.

The Czech part of Czechoslovakia was occupied by Germany in World War II, and was liberated in 1945 by the armies of the Soviet Union and the United States.
The first separate Czech republic was created on 1 January 1969, under the name Czech Socialist Republic within federalization of Czechoslovakia, however the federalization was implemented only incompletely. Czechoslovakia remained occupied until the 1989 Velvet Revolution, when the communist regime collapsed and a democracy and federalization was deepened. On 6 March 1990, the Czech Socialist Republic was renamed to the Czech Republic.
On 1 January 1993, Czechoslovakia peacefully dissolved, with its constituent states becoming the independent states of the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic.

I think that's sufficient history for today . Let's get into it .

If you go by car you should know that parking is quite expensive and I would suggest using the metro .

Close to sightseeing areas using the public toilet is charged. Also , the majority of gas stations charge you for using the toilet. I use a McDonalds just like everyone else. Then there is always the WC under the bridge

For the record,

the price of public transportation (metro / tram / bus ) is :

  • 30 mins ride –  24 CZK – 0.9€ – $1
  • 24 hour pass – 110 CZK – 4.2€– $4.7
  • 3 day pass (counted as 72 hours!) - 310 CZK – 11.8€ - $13.2
  • Children under 6 ride free .

  Where to eat -

May I suggest Vytopna railway restaurant

This one I particularly liked. It’s located at the central Wenceslas square at about 100 m from the Museum. The entrance is quite strange you have to climb some stairs, and then wait. Someone will come to you and take you to your table. That same person also tells you how much time you have available WTF LOL. We had an hour and a half. I don’t know what happens if you cross the time limit and did not want to find out as it was plenty of time.

Waiters spoke English and English menus were available.

The food was very good and was served very quickly.  Now the most attractive part about this restaurant and what attracts many clients is that the drinks are transported to the table with a small train. In fact the whole place is filled with railway lines and such, I know there are a few train enthusiasts.

Another place I suggest you visit is called Nota Bene, which has been recommended to me as well. It serves great dishes however it was pretty crowded so we had to wait a while. It’s really cozy and unique and it is a restaurant on the ground floor and then you can go wild in the basement which stands as a beer point with all kind of strange beers you never heard of from small breweries.  Speaking of beer, they have all kind of unfiltered, half dark , wheat beer. Try them all!! I believe the beer with the most popularity is Krusovice , which I drank a lot of

One tip I have for you, if you hate being cheated and get pissed easily (like me), try to avoid the “bread trick” . Some restaurants practice this, where they leave bread on the table before you arrive, and in case you eat any of it they will charge you for it.  Most of you won't notice 50c-1e on the bill , but I love nit-picking lol

Oh I stayed at this IBIS hotel which is very well positioned and has a good price/quality ratio. Remember, it's IBIS, it's just a bed&breafast don't expect much for 50 euros.

At the end of the Jirásek Bridge , as you cross the peaceful Vltava River you will come across this beauty

This is a beautiful tree I found in the park , before crossing the river

There will be a PART 2 of this blog post, as I think 3 hours are enough work for tonight.

I've put  some work into creating this article and will do the same for others to come, I promise
