Benefits of Failure...

in #life7 years ago

No matter what the definition of failure may be, failure precedes success; and of course everyone wants a good success story. A success story is incomplete if it doesn’t have hints of past failure. You would not always get the girl, sometimes you would lose so much money while trying to make a great investment; but the fact that you did not get it immediately enables you to step up your game, get more creative and come at what you want with a different approach. In order to get a good success story, you should not always flog yourself and think “I’m such an idiot” or “I’m never ever gonna be good at this” when you fail. You have to see failure as the spice that makes success even sweeter. Your attitude towards failure has to change because really there are benefits that come with failing.

Failure helps you understand where your true passion lies and where you should focus your energy ; Some of us are not even sure where our passion lies; but the more you try at different things and fail, the closer you get to what it is that actually makes you tick. And as such, you know exactly where to channel your focus in order to succeed.

Failure allows you to learn from past mistakes;  It is mostly after you have failed at something that you realize where you were making a mistake and this prevents you from making that same mistake while also making you a great teacher at that craft. The lessons learned from failure are priceless.

Failure helps us to overcome our fears;  No matter how scared of something you were before, the moment you fail at it, you become even more familiar with it, this familiarity allows you to move on and away from that fear with your confidence about that situation on a new and higher level.

Failure allows for extra creativity; Have you ever tried at something and failed? Then, you must know that in order to succeed you have to step up your game. Try again and again with different approaches that consist of even better ideas.

Failure makes you stronger; You know how they say what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger, well, that applies to failing too. Going through a failure is like a test of your strength, determination and even your character. Your attitude towards failing at something shows you what you are truly made of and how strong you are.

“Most people have attained their success just one step beyond their greatest failure.” -Napoleon Hill.
