My Views On Why We Are Toxic Species

For a long time I've had a personal 'beef' with homosapiens and how we turned out today. As our technology advanced we seem to have forgotten about the long term survival of our specie. We have put our lovely home into a state which we may not be able to reverse now. Killing our perfect planet for what? Faster means of transportation, heat for our homes, electricity and of course can leave out industrial manufacturing. Which if I am not mistaken fossil fuels is around 80% of the United States energy source alone.

We as a whole pump out billions of pounds of toxic gases into the atmosphere every year. On such a scale our planet hasn't seen since it's birth basically. All because of our desire to drive instead of walk, use coal for electricity instead of solar energy, nuclear power plants instead of once again solar energy for electricity, so on and so fourth.

We've the technology to remove our dependencies on all these fuels for what 70 or so years. Yet we continue to poison the air we breath. The ozone layer which protects us from the harmful radiation of space. Keeps us safe from our host star overheating the surface. At least governments around world agree that we are indeed committing climate change. Some that are discontinuing use of fossil fuels within the next decade. Just wish all governments would follow. Or just simply ban the use of them before it really is to late.

As is we have global warming which melt away our ice to the north. Rising ocean levels that will, without a doubt, consume most our lands if it all melts. With all the crazy weather past decade is more than enough evidence. Just this year alone. America's been hit four times with hurricanes. Two of which with record breaking stats. One breaking size record and the other breaking speed record. All the wildfires across the US that have take multiple weeks to end.

It's all pointless because we as a species refuse to change our ways of life. This is my biggest reason I have hate for homosapiens. If I was an alien visitor I would turn around and leave. Or cause mass extinction so my species could inhabit.
