Hello guys and welcome to my first fashion related post on Steemit!
I am very excited about that, as I haven't written anothing about fashion related topics as of yet, so here we go!

Have you ever asked yourself why is winter such a depressive season at times? Well, of course, the first thing that most likely comes to your mind is the weather, but I think it's just a small part of it.
When I walk down the streets in Shanghai, everyday I come accross the same view - people who are all dressed alike. Winter clothes do not really vary - on one hand, there are plenty of them to choose from, but at the same time - most of them look almost identical. You can see these camel coats everywhere, black and white, grayish colours, which look quite boring and saddening. What should actually stop you from from expressing yourself by wearing something a little bit more original and different from others?
One of these parts of clothing that can definitely improve your looks in the winter time are winter hats and... believe me or not, they can be not only warm, but stylish as well! As far as winter hats are concerned, berets are right up my alley!

每当冬季来临时，满大街上看到的不是单一的黑白灰就是老气的驼色系大衣，似乎在寒冷的冬天里根本无法展示出自己的时尚穿衣个性，只要出门就会沦落成路人甲乙丙丁了。那么什么单品可以在寒冷的冬季里既可以保暖又能凹时尚造型呢？若是我的话绝对首选时尚百搭单品-复古贝雷帽！

My personal view is that gray berets are actually very elegant. I love this fluffy stuff and it feels really comfortable at the same time. Another thing worth to mention is, that berets like that are suitable for nearly any occasion, they go quite well with formal clothes and they are a perfect match for nearly any hairstyle you may have.

个人觉得灰色贝雷帽很显气质哦。毛茸茸的帽子，摸起来舒服得很。比较适合斜着戴，搭配任意发型都很完美哦。

Going through numerous, popular and meaningful fashion show events in the industry, like 2016 Gucci and 2017 Dior fashion shows, you can easily see that berets seem to have been growing in popularity quite a bit recently. People tend to identify berets with cool, retro fashion style, and as a single product, they have the potential to change the way you look. The great thing about berets is that they are exquisite, there are different ways to wear them as well. Here is where you can make an actual mistake. Some people tend to know how to wear them (fashion intuition?), while others completely miss the point.
How should we wear berets then?

从2016年Gucci的文艺复古到2017年秀场Dior时装大牌们把贝雷帽重新带回时尚圈，可见贝雷帽真是时尚圈的真爱了。跟随着复古大潮，贝雷帽这个复古单品越来越多人喜欢，不过，戴贝雷帽也是有讲究的，不同的脸型佩戴的方式以及适合的帽子可都不一样。有的人戴起来美得不要不要的，可是有的人戴起来看起来就是很怪！那么问题来了，贝雷帽究竟要怎么戴才合适呢？

There are a few particular details that you should pay attention to while wearing a beret.

Your beret should look fluffy!
You should pay attention not to make your beret look flat, as it definitely takes its charm away. Try not to press it down, and from the shape of the beret right before you put it on your head. You can see the perfect examples of how I think it should look like just below:

1.蓬松+立体 才是贝雷帽正确的打开方式
从店里刚买回来的帽子看起来都是扁扁的，这个时候千万不要直接戴在头上哦，不然一戴上去看起来就会就怪怪的，而且拿下帽子后发型被压的扁塌也会很丑哦！
正确的戴法是像Dior和Gucci把帽子弄蓬松一些，立体一点才好看。

Beret slanting should be about 25 degrees - it makes your face look optically smaller.
That's one of the things that many asian girls are actually concerned about. Compared with other nationalities, asian girls' faces tend to look slightly more rounded and again - optically bigger. How to deal with that?
If you want your face to look smaller, wearing the beret in a proper fashion is an answer to your question. The angle of the beret you wear should be between 25-35 degrees, also - wearing a larger beret can make your face look even smaller.

1. 帽子倾斜25°法则——让你看起来小脸既视感
   相比较欧洲女生来说，亚洲女孩子脸部比较偏圆偏大，所以问题来了，如何才能使自己的脸看起来小一点呢，佩戴贝雷帽的方式则是 25°戴法，稍稍倾斜25~35度左右，佩戴大一号的贝雷帽可以突出脸小的既视感。

If you have long hair, that might be a good idea to let them naturally hang down your face on both sides. This is another trick to make your face look considerably smaller. You can put your hair on one side of your face as well, going along the same direction as the beret you wear.

当然，如果你有漂亮的披肩长发，可以尝试稍微拨出几缕头发自然垂在脸的两侧，不仅好看还显脸小。当然你也可以把头发拨到某一侧，这个时候，帽子斜着的方向，要跟头发所在的方向保持一致哦.

For girls having no bangs or with slighly longer, not really oval-shaped faces, wearing a beret is a great way to cover a little bit of your forhead, but then again - you should rest your hair and let it naturally hang down both sides of your face. It modifies and slightly changes the shape of the face.

3.遮不遮额头，取决于你的刘海
没有刘海或者脸比较长的人，帽子可以稍微盖住一点额头，让头发自然垂在脸颊两侧，还能起到修饰脸型的作用。

A tip for the girls with a higher hairline - you can wear a beret and it will definitely make you look even more attractive! Let's take Rihanna for instance - her hairline is quite high compared with Asian girls, but wearing a beret in this case can make your forehead look better as well.

4 发际线比较高的姑娘也可以求助于贝雷帽，像蕾哈娜这种额头饱满发际线又高的，贝雷帽就是神助攻的美丽神器，直接一档就OK了！

What if you have a bang hairstyle? No problem! Try to put on the beret and move it a little bit more towards the back of your head. You will look like... sweet and cute girl from the neighbourhood! Just like the one from the picture right below ;-)

5 如果有刘海的姑娘，也可以把帽子戴在后脑勺的位置，简直就是超级甜美可爱的邻家小妹了！

To wrap it up, the beret can be definitely a nice addition to your daily fashion style, it easily matches other fashion items and almost any face shape that you can possibly think of. I believe you will shine even more in your dream beret as long as you pay attention to these few, simple rules.
