Copper Craft in Algeria

Hello, dear steaamint friends. today I want to write about beautiful Art in Algeria. which is arisen hundredes years ago. its engraving on copper, it is one of the oldest crafts in Algeria, its an art that expresses the identity of the country and its inhabitants. which extends its roots to the Ottoman era.

The engraving on copper requires various tools that can be described as primitive, but dispensing with them is not possible, because they are the basis of this craft. in this industry we need a small wooden table, multiple sizes and shapes of iron hammers, steel pens for drilling and some of the active acids used for interlock.

Copper vessels not only reflect aesthetic value, but symbolize different history and events in Algeria.The distinctive feature of the copper ware produced in Algeria is the inscriptions on it.

In spite of the big presence of various metal objects, the copper products, which are ornamented and used in Decoration("" we have a lot of it at home lol), still maintain their prestige and charm in the old markets of Algeria.
