Betty And Gina Have Kindled Day 15

Hey guys, this day 15 and I’ve removed the nest box because 1 or 2 of the kits keep coming out of the nest box and this can be dangerous as for some of them that may miss feeding time.

From the day the kits came out of the nest box and until the kits are separated from their mother, the life of the mother is not going to be the same again, she is going to be busy all day feeding the kits. The kits can now reach her easily and will always be poking to get some breast milk once they feel hungry. They haven’t started eating other types of food at this stage so are still almost 100% reliant on her breast milk. They made nimble on different meals the mother is taking but they won’t really feed on it that much for now.

The doe has to adjust her lifestyle now, she previously only entered the nest box once in a day to feed them but now they are unto her almost every hour of the day. She’ll be jumping from one place to another and even kicking them off her breast so that she can have a break.

The kits still sleep cuddled to each other, they don’t sleep as much as they use to sleep when they were born. They spend time exploring their environment and if they are startled while going around they run back to their mother or the other kits.
