Hello Steem Blockchain!

Welcome to another installment of my Follow Me in Beijing series!

This time, we embark to an upscale/flashy shopping center catered towards Beijing's upper class (and selfie-loving tourists).

This place is called SOLANA.

It's an outdoor shopping district that contains several well known luxury name brands and the like. I actually really love the layout. Chinese people love lights and you can definitely see that passion come to fruition here!

It's one of the features of China that I really like. Looking outside in the evening at all the brightly lit LED lights surrounding the many shops and chattels gives you one of the utmost feelings of amusement. It has a way of livening up a place and raising the energy.

Once you walk past the entrance gate, you are surrounded by people taking selfies and walking around. There are so many shops but most people are just there for the scenery and pretty lights. As you can see, Solana attracts a huge crowd!

I also like the structures they've set up featured with more brightly lit lights to conform to the shape of whatever object it is on.

Cool, eh?

The entrance also features a second floor where customers can walk on. It looks even cooler because it is outdoors. I'd say this place is quite swank. There were a lot of places to film and take photos.

Lillian recommend this place to me because I still had one more night alone in Beijing and didn't know where to go. This was definitely an evening well spent. Often times, when you travel, it is important to have a local person that can recommend places to go, otherwise you just look like a fool trying to find places around here. There are plenty of things to do in Beijing, but you may now know about most of them. You may only know the tourist traps or places that have lost their novelty.

In the center of the plaza, they have this huge net that changes colour. It is suspended in the air and looks pretty cool!

I didn't feel that way here. The weather was nice enough such that it wasn't too cold and I could just find entertainment by watching people.

Once you make your way out of the main plaza, you might see this statue with a cupid on top. I am really not sure why something like this would be placed here, but I think it looked cool enough and photo-worthy!

If you are ever in Beijing and interested in coming here, you take Subway Line 14 to a station called Zao Ying （枣营） and just walk down the street. It is only a 5 minute walk to Solana and it's worth a visit!
