Wisdom Tooth - The Story

I have just removed my lower right Wisdom Tooth and what a relief it has been after months of suffering and despair. It is not that i do not want it removed earlier, but the thought of going to the dentist is really scary...lol. You will try to delay as long as you can until the day you have suffered enough to be brave and see a dentist. There will be needle involved, light on your face, dental tools that looks like drilling tools, feels like im being interrogated by a mafia group..lol. Eventually, when your done...the nightmare just fade away...pheeewww! I was denied though at first when my blood pressure was high, i believe it was really because of the nervousness of seeing a dentist after a very long long time.

Special credit to the Dentist and her assistants, i did not suffer at all during the extraction..i bought them ice cream for a job well done. I wish i could just give them @steem power...maybe next time.

Now i can happily eat my favorite Ice Cream (highly recommended after tooth extraction by dentist) without screaming. I can sleep well and even feel less stressful. I can smile widely and genuinely now...lol.

Wisdom teeth are the third and final set of molars (..which i don't know what it means) that most of us will get in the late teens or early twenties. If you look at the picture below than you will go and say "...aahhhhhh, that's the 3rd molars"...lol.

This teeth is very useful when is healthy and aligned but will be very painful when it is misaligned. Most people will have a misaligned wisdom teeth when they grow up and that really causes a lot of pain. Poor alignment of wisdom teeth can crowd or damage neighboring teeth, jawbone, or nerves. To remove this is to have a surgical procedure to reach to that teeth, and i can only imagine the pain going through this.

You don't actually need to keep your wisdom tooth as you still have your 1st and 2nd molars to chew meat. I can personally guarantee you this as i have no more lower 3rd molars and still eating meat happily...lol.

So, if you feel pain or feel that you need your wisdom teeth to be removed, do so. If it's still visible and does not require surgery, your gonna be fine when removing it. You will only pay MYR80 to MYR120 for a normal extraction but a surgical procedure will cause you at least MYR800 to MYR1000 and beyond depending on the complication of the surgery in a private clinic. Unless, your opt for a government funded dental care which only cost you MYR50 but will have to wait for at least a month for an appointment...lol.

I do believe most of us has gone through this or are going through this now. Do share your views and experience...its definitely a fun and exciting experience for me...lol (trying to be positive)

Just for fun, this is my first certificate when i was just 12 years old... and i still have it. Certificate for an excellent Teeth 1989...lol.
