Is everywhere.

I feel like ending the post dramatically with just those words, but sadly it may not sink in as deeply as I would hope.

You and I have had those days. You know ... the tossers. As we sit there, we rarely want to reach out. But by chance someone comes along randomly and becomes that rock you so sorely needed but didn't realize it till then.

You know those days...

Often it is a very unassuming smile. Unassuming conversation. Perhaps even a one liner.

But, in that instant, that person became a superhero, because in that instant they helped you feel connected to something very profound..... Love.

You may think there isn't love between strangers.But it's so far from the truth.

We live and breathe it, even when we don't always act it. When we reach out even for a split second, a very common love that BINDS us - CONNECTS us.

That moment when you went from wanting to crawl into a hole, to - cracking a small smile at the corners of your lips .... That is heroism at it's best. Sometimes the heroes don't even realize it, but they are superheroes walking in plain clothes.

In that moment, an unassuming encounter becomes an instrument of profound impact - an impact that can be felt for years to come. An impact you don't always recognize right away but feel it in your heart, that somehow feels lighter.

You never know when YOU will be a rainbow in somebody's rainstorm either. But rest assured you will be ... If only you would simply show up in this world - BEING you.

Cuz YOU are pretty damn amazing.

That's how heroes are made - by being present and willing to stop and expose your beautiful inside for a bit. ;)
