A lot of people just want to spend their time creating, And you can't blame them. I'm the same way. Whether you're creating is part of a side hustle or a full-scale business, It requires strategy to be successful at what you are doing.

What is keyword research.

If you make your content on your website, Keyword research is important, that way you can rank on Google.
On Ebay? This allows you to get on the front page when someone types in a keyword related to your item.

Keyword research allows people to find all of your stuff...
Sometimes I wonder how many products are out there, that no one knows about because people didn't use proper keywords.

Coming Up with Keywords

Sometimes this can be difficult. You don't want to be annoying and spammy about it.
If you are selling a picture of a cat, You wouldn't want to use the keyword "Lizard." That wouldn't make much sense.
But part of doing keyword research is making

Assumptions

You need to try and "guess." What these people like. That is why it's also important to connect with people related to your niche online, So you can get a good sense of what they look for in their buying.

Do an Amazon Search

A good way to collect keywords on your product is that amazing Autofiller. They have that on Google too. Remember when they try and finish your sentences? I often use this for keyword research. I get a notepad and jot stuff down and try to incorporate as many relevant keywords as I can.

Merchant Words

Websites like Merchant words can help you get IDEAS on what to include. But they aren't 100% accurate or fool proof. Much of this info is often outdated. But it's still a great tool to get ideas, especially when you are stuck and have no idea what to use.

Copy Others

Copying isn't good. Don't copy and paste their listing. But check other Amazon listings similar to what you are selling, See which ones are selling well based on their BSR, Then See what keywords they are using. Then steal those keywords and rewrite your description using that keyword list. It works wonders.

Even if you are selling on Etsy, Ebay or another platform, You can use their platforms for keyword tips, But you can also use Amazon for your keyword research. Both work well.

And if you are trying to rank on Google. That's a slightly different process all together. Instead your focus would be based around Google. And other popular articles related to your niche, But I won't go into that right now.

Nice post! 👏

nice post friend

Thank you so much!

I have one question though. How does keyword research help steemit posts?

It helps Steemit as the platform, It will help bring more people to the platform, Which will grow the Steemit community. We want Steemit to rank on Google. Which I noticed some of my blog posts have been on the second or third page of google.

Congrats, @kaylinart! Very informative. Thanks!

This is fantastic! Thank you for sharing @kaylinart !

If you're self-publishing book, Amazon will flat-out tell you what keywords to use. That is, this page tells you what keywords will dump you in what categories in Amazon's vast literary empire.

As a side effect, this creates microscopic categories with their own bestseller list. Once, I was a bestselling author for a day due to a single user checking out one of my book from Kindle Unlimited. I got like two cents from it, but hey, GLORY. Transitory glory, as I fell off without another sale. Sic transit gloria algorismi.
