For those of you who regularly frequent my blog, Probably already know that I'm starting to branch off from coloring books a bit, I'm trying to build up a Merch Empire. Using T-shirts, mugs, Towels Etc.

It's harder than I thought...

So I thought, It would be mega easy. I upload a bunch of designs I made and bought onto the two websites I'm using. Then I lay back and reap the sales... Not quite.

I wanted to post my process.

To help encourage you guys who are doing something similar. A lot of people may not understand what goes on behind the scene. We often look at successful people as "lucky." Because they reap all these benefits and we don't see the hard work and effort they put into building their businesses.

MY T-SHIRT PROCESS

If you guys have any tips to simplify my process. Let me know; I'd love to hear them :)

  1. Brain Storm A list of Ideas, For my Shirts, Mugs, etc.
  2. Check the trademark of all the Phrases and words
  3. Outsource, Or Prepare to make the designs.
  4. Once my Freelancer is done, I take the designs.
  5. I crop out all the graphics he used And Reverse image search, each thing.
  6. If they pass my checks, I put them in another folder.
  7. I gather up 10-15 of them to work with at once.
  8. I start researching, For SEO.
I check for the best keywords that I can use, And I write them down.
  9. I Start to piece together my listings and description.
  10. I avoid Keyword stuffing, but at the same time I try to include as many keywords as I possibly can.
  11. After Uploading it to Merch, Which is the easier part. I then Move to my other store.
  12. I then work on uploading hoodies and tank tops directly through Shopify.
  13. I have to deal with the tedious process of filling in UPCS and SKU numbers for all of it.
  14. After it's all upload it I send the info to Amazon,
  15. After doing my batch of 10 or 15, I throw them into gimp to resize them into other products like mugs, Canvas art, and any thing else I feel will sell well. It's a tedious process but it works.
  16. I then use my Shopify app called Syn commerce, To send my products to other websites, like Etsy, And Ebay.
  17. I then use the marketing software that I have to help market the products.

I hate to be spammy, But when you purchase my Steemit shirt, You not only help build up the platform, (By Advertising). But it's only 10.99 Which is super cheap for a shirt. I don't make anything off of your purchase. Except I used my affiliate link. So I may get like 1.00. Also, you help me grow my business Because when I get sales, it helps boost my tier (So yes I do benefit a little bit from your purchase.) This shirt is high quality, And many people charge 20.00 for these shirts.

The daily grind is the road to success no one sees. Kudos to you for figuring it out and pushing forward, learning as you go.

Thank you! I always look for new ways to do things quicker and more efficiently.

My only advice is to keep everything and reuse them for other sites. Those designs could make some great steemit posts. Your content is valuable, hold on to it.

Thank you! I've been trying to do that more! I I have lots of good stuff that I can reuse over and over again.

Kudos for your persistence and creativity in figuring out what works for you in your business path! I know it can't be easy! Here's to your success!

Thank you! I'm working really hard in hopes that I'll build something fantastic :)

It's nice that you see it as "building" as much as "doing". That attitude has got to help you through some of the rough patches.

Good work and good post.

Hey! I have been following your blog after searching stuff about Merch by Amazon, and you've inspired me to open a steemit account :) Thank you! I will keep following your stuff. Will be interested in your passive income/entrepreneurial progress. And I'm excited to try out this platform!
