Many people don't look at their writing or doodles as a source of income, And yet they would do anything to bring in some extra money from month to month. Informational products can make a lot of money overtime; They also can be a reliable passive income source.

You don't need an entirely original idea

No idea is ever fully original. Someone at some point thought of the same thing you have. You also can easily be influenced by other ideas that you hear. You subconsciously may come up with something that is unoriginal and completely ripped off of something you've heard, seen or experienced. You may not intentionally do it; It just happens automatically.
There is a saying that "Great artists steal." Now i"m not saying you should ever violate the intellectual property of someone else. But taking an idea and transforming to something new can have life changing results. When you look at Twitter, MySpace, And Facebook. They all "stole" ideas from each other. But in their unique way. Making their unique social media platform.

They are Ebooks, PDF's, and Audio/video recordings.
This is stuff that can easily make by you Or even outsourced.
Lots of people make money:

• Writing digital books for Amazon KDP.
• Blogging
• Affiliate marketing
• Podcasts
• Youtube videos
  Etc.
  What ever it is that you are good at, You can probably turn it into some kindof informational product that you could sell.
  Like hiking?
  Maybe you could write a Kindle book about hiking, Or poisonous plants, etc., You could then record your hikes. Use your affiliate links in your blog posts about hikes, Which would be advertising hiking gear, Even snack bars. You could maybe even come up with ideas on having a podcast about hiking!

The possibilities are endless.

Marketing!

This is why you need to stay in a particular niche. If you make a massive range of video topics, It may be difficult for you to gain traction. But if all your videos are about minimalism. People interested in that will flock to your videos. By marketing, You need to become an authority in your niche.

• Use social media to market
• Paid ads.
• Use different mediums to spread your content.

Reuse content.

You aren't' "Done" when you finished writing a 20,000-word book. You can then use that same info in your podcast, Make an audiobook, Make videos, etc.
Look at your creation like an ASSET.
This will help you gain more followers.
When you add onto current content that you have, You can later double the price. And when it gets big enough, You can even make a course and sell that course to people who need your help.

The Cons to selling informational content

• If you take too much from one source, you can damage your reliability.
• Many info products aren't marketed properly.
  You need to make sure your content solves the problems other people are having.
• Your target audience needs to have a strong desire to solve their problem.
• It needs to be longer term work ANd involving more than just a couple products.
  

Informational products can produce a long term income source, But it also takes a lot of hard work to start growing.
