๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿ‚CUT BACK YOUR WORK HOURS! NOW! ๐Ÿ‚๐Ÿƒ

in #life โ€ข 6 years ago (edited)

There is no doubt that most of us are overworked, Whether we have a demanding job, or we have self-employed work that makes our lists go to the ceiling. All of us could use more time to rest and take breaks. The problem is, When?

Many of us would see a positive effect on our work quality if we cut back our hours. But sadly sometimes employers don't understand that.
Here are a few ways you can make it easier to work less, But get the same, If not more done.

Have A Clear List Of What To Do

When we don't have clear expectations, it can be hard to follow through with the things we want to accomplish in our day. It's essential to have a to-do list that you follow And have it be as specific as possible so you can get your stuff done. Use a planner, Calendar or write it out on paper.

Hardest Things Done First

We all have those tasks we hate doing, For me. I don't really like cleaning my rabbit cages, But it's something that has to be done 3-4 times a week. So often when it's cleaning day, I'll do that very first upon waking up. So it's out of the way! Figure out what is hardest for you to do, And get it done. It can even be that thing that has been lingering in your mind for months. Take it out so you can move onto the next thing.

Having Breaks Keeps You Rested

Like I said above, Breaks are magic. Know when you need to take a break. Make yourself work really hard, Set a timer. Then take a proper and full break. Entirely leave your work area so you feel rested That way you can come back feeling mentally and physically ready to take on the next task.

Working full time and multiple jobs burn you out so fast. That is why taking vacation away from work is very good. Time to de stress and rejuvenate your energy.

Right? I Have to do this constantly.

Probably sounds weird but working on vacation is what energizes me. When I am sitting at the beach and move things forward in real estate I always think "How lucky am I that I can be in a profession where I work wherever I choose." Obviously, this is when I do not have appointments but handling follow-up and admin work.

I agree many employers are NOT getting this. It's been one of my biggest struggles since i burn out fast. It's all about self advocacy and knowing what's best for you.

Right? It makes me sick to my stomach when you can see they genuinely don't care about your outside life.

My hands are quite on deck with your views, obviously a reasonable degree of break from work does a weird-kind of magic in reviving the psyche of humans!

Right? It's weird, You wouldn't think it would be necessary. But it totally is!

That's so true!

Great advice @kaylinart I started taking breaks every two hours and switching gears, even relaxing to watch the animals from my back porch in between. I have found I stay focused better and accomplish more each day.

Right? I Love that! What kind of animals do you have?

I'm curious, do you have any way to track to see if your Steemit posts are actually driving sales to your Amazon products?

@nathanbrown Well I know I could easily install links that track. With affiliate links, You can set up a specific store ID to kind of see if someone is clicking. But I personally haven't done that. I probably should later on :)

I think if you did, and you could prove that you were generating decent sales with Steemit.com, I think that could give you a powerful post to put up with your sales stats that would likely get some good traction on Steemit.

Thanks for this @kaylinart...

I took a break from work and even steemit for about 4 days.. I was beginning to feel drained, stressed and unmotivated.... So i just had to take the break but i was feeling so guilty like i was just wasting precious time doing nothing....

Seeing the post just makes me feel relieved... Everyone needs a break.. Yeeeess

@kingernie Awww! I feel the same way when I avoid Steemit! But it's absolutely necessary for our recovery.

Oh yes yes... It is...

I totally share with your words dear friend @ kaylinart, it is always good for the body and soul a little rest in our days.
I wish you a wonderful nights and a happy rest

@jlufer Right? We all need rest :) Thank you!

I agreed to your point, achieving the hardest task first is something good because you need enough energy to do that, before going to do other tasks that is not hectic. Also it is important to take some rest when due because of the health benefits ! Great post @kaylinart

Having a laid down guidance and discipline l think will ensure effective work duty without stress...sometimes you just have to know whats just to be done right and go on with it..thanks for such a detailed writeup @kaylinart
