What's Your Favorite Beer?
Orion beer celebrates their 60th anniversary this year! About 30 million people come to visit the Orion Beer Paradise in Naha, Okinawa during October. Orion beer accounts for about 60 percent of the beer market in Okinawa.
It has a Japanese rice lager flavor and was manufactured in 1957. When the brand first opened, it imported all of its ingredients from Germany such as malt and yeast.
The event is held at the Onoyama Athletic Park for three days.
There are many food vendors that come out to support this event as well.
Drinking begins early in the afternoon. Japanese rate Orion beer as #2, being surpassed by Asahi Kuronama, and it has the country's fifth largest brewery.
There is even a live concert.
Guests find seats at long tables with their food and drinks, and wait for the concert to begin.
As the sun sets, more crowds begin to show up.
A talented violinist takes the stage for a crowd-pleasing performance.
As the event ends, guests head for the exit gates.
