Healthy Snacks to Pack While You Travel

in #life7 years ago

If you're constantly on the go or you have an extensive road trip planned, here are some foods you can stick to that won't ruin your diet. Plus, they won't give you that heavy, bloated feeling you get from back to back fast food pit stops.

(1) Sliced fresh fruit. Some great options in this category would be melon or berries, and they fit perfectly into a cooler.

(2) Hummus cups. They are perfect for dipping baby carrots or celery sticks. Plus, who doesn't love hummus?

(3) String cheese. Great alternative for the kiddos. While best consumed in moderation, it's a great source of calcium and vitamin D.

(4) Pretzel sticks. I recommend veggie pretzels or something similar because they are not only cholesterol-free, but are made from wheat flour. And they are sprinkled with Himalayan salt for a wonderful kick.

(5) Nonfat Greek yogurt. With only 100 calories, it contains probiotics that are essential to proper digestion. Plus it's a great way to pack on the protein and can help curb your hunger until mealtime.

Hope you enjoy, and safe travels :)

instead of an apple I would pack a dragon fruit

That sounds good! I've never had one before. How do they taste?

This snack would last only seconds, you need a a sandwich lol

Haha! That's true, but I know sometimes the cheese on them gets kind of melty if you don't pack them right lol.
