Bucket List Challenge
This is a fun one that’s been going around, I believe started by @nomadicsoul. Thanks to sweet @saffisara for tagging me! I’ve enjoyed reading so many of these, like the ones by @enginewitty, @tattoodjay, and @derangedvisions.
Obviously you never know when you’re going to go, and I’ve done a lot in my life, feel like I’ve lived pretty fully. However, it’s good to have things to look forward to and work for, so here goes.
In Nicaragua, many years ago.
Ten Things I’d Like to Do Before I Die:
The Great Canadian Road Trip. Hop in an RV with my family and drive across the country to explore the east coast of Canada.
The Great American Road Trip. Take my kids in a campervan and show them all the places I love in the USA, plus discover some gems I haven’t seen yet.
Spend a year (or more) in Europe. I have always wanted to explore the UK and Europe in-depth. Live in a cottage, stay in a castle, sleep in a Gypsy's caravan overlooking the sea...
Take long trips to Spanish-speaking countries. I adore the language and many aspects of Hispanic cultures.
Get better at speaking Spanish. (See above.) And other languages (my mother is teaching the boys Italian now, so I'm sure I'll pick some up).
Meet amazing Steemians along my travels.
Raise two woke gentlemen. I adore my boys, and am so grateful for them. My hope is that they will make the world a better place just by being who they are. But it takes a village. I could use your help, @saffisara… In case you ever want to move to Canada. ;)
Stay in a castle and live the fairytale. Basically, give me Cinderella’s ball without the midnight curfew and the evil step-sisters. I want the gown, the dancing, the adoration, the magic. I want a night that never ends with dancing in the gardens, laughter in the halls, a lush bedchamber and a big bed.
Feel confident and comfortable in my body. Part of this is in my head, and part of it is physical. It's not that I don't feel this way, precisely, but I'm working on getting better. I think the point is to just keep working on it as a daily practice. Ommm….
Have one or more of my books go bestseller. I’d love for my stories to come alive in the imaginations of many, and have my books pay the way for my family to travel the world. Let the world be my children’s school, and my writing pay their tuition.
Aho.

This is such a wonderful list and much heart in it
Learn spanish, yes I wish I could understand it to as I only use translation.... Lol
The 2 gentlemen you raise. I know you are an amazing mother and person and that's why they will grow up as amazing caring individuals.
Se were they come from and they will change the world 🤗 but if you ever need my help, I'm always here for you and Yes I move to Canada in a heartbeat if I get to hang with you 🇨🇦 🤗
And who doesn't want to live in a castle?🏰
I do✋ if only for a day and night I would not just be at a ball but explore every room from the cellar to the tower and se all the secrets that the castle hides 👀 mabye even a cute prince is trapped in the dungen waiting for the rescue 😜
LOL... or get lost in a labyrint in the garden!
Loved your list and also meeting some steemians would be Awsome. Stay as you are. Much love 🤗💖🌹💖
YES! Let's explore the castle! You're coming to the castle, of course. In fact, wouldn't it be fun to pick an actual castle that hosts events and daydream an Alliance party there? We could role-play it in discord if nothing else. Think of the rooms and characters we'd create. lol!
🤗💖🤗💖🤗
YES! ❤️ Let's pick a actual castle 🏰
Then we have like the biggest Alliance party the kingdom ever seen and we can role play on discord, and give the characters life.
I loooove that idea 🤗💙🤗💜🤗💚🤗
Yes yes yes yes yes! 💖 Makes me feel like...
Heya! Nice list.. and skipping the evil step-sisters?? Whut?? LOL :-D I wish the best of luck on your novel! Have a great day. :-)
Yeah, no drama. ;) But I like @saffisara's suggestion of exploring all the rooms. Maybe I should take some fun Steemit-sisters with me instead. @topkpop for sure. Ah, why not take over the castle with the whole fam. Whaddya say, @enginewitty?
Thank you for wishing me luck on my novel. I always appreciate encouragement. 💖
Sounds like a plan Princess, you can have whichever tower you want, long as I can visit and bathe in the stars on the balcony sometime 😋
I'll be visiting all the towers before I decide on one (typical Gemini). We can adventure together and count the balconies... see which one has the best view.
Purrrrfect...wait is this a haunted castle? Or are we taking over Belle and Beastie's? Heard they moved to the city after the curse was broken and abandoned his...👻🕵
Only if the ghosts are nice. If they sing and dance and serve good food, I'm down with that. 😆
Like on Haunted Mansion? That would be sweet, a whole ghostie staff of servants!
Hi :-) Yeah that would probably be a good idea... have two good sisters with you, and skip the evil... and storm the castle! You are most welcome. Have a great evening.
Challenge accepted!
And, hey, what did you decide to do with your novel? By parts here in Steemit? Did you find relevant the blog of the writer I told you: https://steemit.com/@rjguerra ?
Cheers fron México!
Hi! I did check out your friend's blog, thanks. I'm still working on my follow up post about my novel. I should get on that!
Cheers from Canada. :)
Great! I hope to see that follow up...very intrigued I am hehe
I just posted it. :)
Love #s 9 & 10 as they’re on my list too! If you come through the states, you’re welcome to drop by and visit us in Missouri & you’ll knock off another one on your list 😉 thanks for the reminder of this challenge. We were nominated by @indigoocean and will do it soon!! 😘
Yay! I'm looking forward to reading yours. Yes to #9 and 10! What are your books about? Do you have any published? And I'd love to swing by your homestead... one of these years. ;)
That’s an awesome list going d luck with achieving many if not all of them
Thank you! All my best to you as well! 💖
You are more than welcome to visit Europe, we are waiting for you...
As long as you are working on that number 9, you are on the right track...
I know you will do number 10, I have zero doubt about it...
The Spanish thing we have in common, good luck with it...
Good luck with everything actually 💚
Thank you for the nomination, I am looking forward to writing about the things on my bucket list. ;)
Your bucket list post was great! I absolutely loved the last part, about living with no regrets. Yes, I think we have a lot in common. Steem on, sister!
When you do that Canadian road trip and get close to Montreal, give me a shout! I'd love to meet you in person. ;-)
Yes! I have a friend in Montreal! Yay! :)
What a great list! I should have put "meet awesome Steemians along the way," too! 😊
Looks like the majority of the list is traveling. I've heard of people with even larger families just up and leaving their life behind and go wherever they want. I don't think they start off with enough to go everywhere they want either, so none of them were independently wealthy. Not suggesting you do that, but it's not unheard of to just start traveling and working your way (literally) around the world.
Spanish is a good language to learn. My wife is from Mexico, so it comes in handy any time we're down there or conversing with her family, since none of them really speak English.
I also would like to have a bestseller. Which means promotion, which means a whole lot of things other than writing and engaging on Steemit. Maybe one of these days.
I wish you well with your bucket list, particularly raising the "woke gentlemen." My wife and I have two sons, too, and I think we've done alright so far. If they blow it now, being in their late 20s and married (one with a child), it's their faults!
