Castle in a Thunder Storm

Today we visited Carreg Cennen Castle (South Wales). We check the weather forecast and set off early to avoid the rain.

Sadly as we were walking up the castle it started to rain. We didn't let that spoil our time as the weather forecast had warned of rain; so we continued to walk up.

It was a real ruin and I got a few good pictures on my camera.

However the rain became a lot heavier and then we heard thunder.

Now pressed against a ruined castle wall, to shelter from the horizontal rain and hail. We watched lightening zig zag across the sky.

I wanted to get a picture, my youngest was convinced it would make me more attractive to the lightening, so to keep her calm, I put my camera away.
