Another year has passed since hurricane Irma passing and what is there so say about that comparing to what hurricane Dorian is causing this week. Not too much right?

I got interested in how hurricane data is collected which frankly is a lot more complicated as that I had realized. We always see these lovely images of NOAA which I had always thought these images are from radars only. But as it turns out the data is collected by hurricane places. Flights which travel through the vicious eye walls to reach the center of the storm, dropping tubes with parachutew to collect additional data. As said in the video: satelites makes images from above, the plane and the chutes all together with this give a decent 3D image of the storm.

Seriously, if you dont like flying in the way that I do, these images really give you the creeps. Having the worst turbulence you have ever experienced and they say it was a smooth ride. Interesting I would say for the least. Yes being actively involved with weather is awesome, but this job would literally give me heart attacks! Nevertheless, these heroes manage to collect ow so valuable databin what these storms are doing. This really save lives! But not for me ;)
