The gall bladder saga comes to a satisfactory end. Thank you for all your Support.

Well this is it, hubby's last weekend on the sick, going back to work on Monday with restrictions, no lifting for another 4 weeks plus they are giving him a van so he won't need to use our car meaning no petrol to buy each week with a saving of £20 weekly. With him having his gall bladder removed plus his hernia was fixed at the same time he has to be extra careful what he does.
So for the next 4 weeks he will be pushing a pen walking around the site giving orders.

Were my hubby works the firm aren't very helpful to there staff doesn't matter how many years they have worked for them, My hubby has worked for them for 17 years, he's being very loyal and has been there best bricklayer, now he is a foreman yay he got promoted but on a 6 month trial, he has done the job for years but they still need to trial him. Today workers are treat like numbers, there easily replaced, loyalty goes nowhere. He is sticking with them as we only have 5 years left on our mortgage, once that is paid then he can go try somewhere else but as they say its better the devil you know.

We have had a hard struggle over the last 6 weeks, thankfully his mum has helped us out quite a bit, we will be treating her once we are back on our feet. We have another week of sick pay then back on real time pay, hopefully then I can start catching up and maybe start saving a little again.

THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR SUPPORT THROUGH THIS*

It sounds like your life is about to return to some semblance of normal... and I'm sure that's a relief. Also wise that he's not going to overdo it for a while; taking it slow is better than doing too much and making the recovery period even longer. All the best to both of you!

Than k you @denmarkguy, its been a slow hard 6 weeks but thankfully there is light at the end of the tunnel, things hopefully can only get better from now on :)
