We all dream of choosing chocolate without filling it, but this is unlikely to happen. Well, at least there is already consolation for this injustice and it is the following - you can eat chocolate and pay you for it. That's right - there is a "chocolate taster" profession and you can apply for it!
The world food producer, Mondendise, which owns the brands Cadbury, Milka, and Oreo, has announced it is looking for a professional taster, according to Daily Mail.
The main commitment of the specialist will be to provide regular and honest and objective feedback on the taste properties of the chocolate products of the company.
The official title of the position is "Chocolate and Cocoa Beverage Tasting". According to the Mondale site, the position is half-time and is based in the city of Reading, Southeastern England. It seems that, apart from being pleasant, the work is rather light. Experts will be employed only seven and a half weeks between Tuesday and Thursday from 12:15 to 14:45.
Their work will be housed in special tasting booths located in the so-called Discussion Rooms at the Reading Research Center at Reading. The idea is for each taster to cooperate and to exchange ideas and observations with a team of about 11 panelists until they agree on the desired taste characteristics of chocolate products.
The taster will play a key role in experimenting with innovative flavors and launching the company's new products around the world, writes in the announcement posted on the Mondale website.
The main requirement for candidates is to be passionate about sweet treats, to have well-developed taste buds and to be ready to try brand new and unfamiliar products. Excellent communication skills and fluency in English are required.
