As promised, today I wrote this post regarding depression and what we can do to help out those going through depression.
Depression is a mental illness and it deeply affects a person in a negative way,It affects your feelings, actions, thinking, and your way of life and because of that it can decrease a persons performance weather it is from work or from home.
It's not an easy thing to handle and can be a very tough opponent.
But what causes depression?
There are a few things that can become its cause, here's a few

-Depression can sometimes run in the family (genetics)
-It can be arise from being bullied emotionally or physically
-Stress
-death of a loved one
-physical/ mental/sexual abuse
-family affairs such as parental divorce
-accidents
-etc

Depression can cause someone to lose interest and joy over the things they used to love, makes one lose their appetite, habits, causes loneliness, trouble sleeping/sleeping too much, loss of energy, feeling of worthlessness, having troubles on making decisions and could lead to more physical and emotional problems and sometimes could even lead to suicide.

But how can we help others going through depression?

I believe being there for someone who's going through depression is really helpful.
Listening to them when they open up, being a shoulder they can lean on,talking to them, inviting them on some activities and not giving up on them.
Depression is treatable and we can be a huge part of their treatment 😃
This is very very helpful.
This article helped me in ways I never imagined,
You can read for free online and even down, lad the publication 😃
Teen depression-why? What can help?
Taking measures to care for your physical and mental health is also helpful.
Exercise, eating wholesome meals, getting sufficient sleep and most importantly keeping your spiritual health in good condition.
As said in Matthew 5:3, happy are those conscious of their spiritual needs.

I do not think I have ever experienced actual depression, but everything you describe seems quite familiar, although I find it a bit like the chicken and egg situation, which came first you can't always be sure but admitting there is something wrong and being willing to work on it is a good start.

I think thw symptoms of depression is kinda random depending on a person? And yes being alert and working on it before it gets worse is a good idea :D

Yes, the symptoms are wholly dependent on the person, and that is why I would rather never diagnose as "depressed" , a lot of people tend to use it as an excuse or scapegoat and as I have seen it fits the bill to be abused by types whose sole intention is to get attention which in turn belittles the struggles of those who truly suffer from it. It is a fine line between having a tough time and depression, and best of luck to anyone who is really fighting that battle.

There was a point in my life that I had too deal with depression, I had to step back and develop a new way of thinking about my own life...it's a battle I never want to go through again! Hey, I just wanted to say thanks for your recent upvote on my post! I appreciate that! Carry On!

Yea I wish I'd never go through it again too but I'm too prone 😂 and sure sir! No problem! I really like your posts and you totally deserve it!

I'm starting to wonder whether maybe we are living in a world (or society) where everybody suffers from some form of depression (some more severe than others of course) during some stage of their lives. Especially 13 years old appears to be a vunerable age for the onset of most depressions.... maybe all 13 year old's should have a 2 hour session with a psychologist and maybe this should be compulsory - like measel vaccinations
