Here are some of the things you might not know about your hair

• The human hair contains 14 chemical elements from the Mendeleev's table, including gold. Do not rush to look for it: all the gold contained in the hair held by a large metropolis population would barely make you a wedding ring.

• The early start of sexual activity in young people accelerates hair growth. Castration of boys has negative effects on the hair, which often does not grow at all on cheeks and chin.

• Every day, we lose between 40 and 150 hairs. Sometimes, instead of fallen hairs, new ones are growing, but not always.

• The transversal section of the hair indicates the area where it occurs: the Asians have a circular one , Africans very flattened and the European oval.

How do women and men look at hair?

• According to an opinion poll, women think blondes are easier and more prone to flirting, brunettes are smart and serious, and reds are strong. Nothing is scientifically confirmed.

• Men have their image about women's hair: the blondes are not very intelligent, the brunettes are catchy and the reds are voluptuous. This is not confirmed scientifically.

• Statistics show that the vast majority of women have black hair. Blondes make up 2% of the total, and reddish only 1%. The region with the most reddish is Scotland: 13%. In Africa, redness is almost entirely absent.
