Freedom ? Yes please !! You need to read it to have your freedom. You must be thinking:

"oh no, this is a long article, I do not want to read it...."

But how can you find your freedom, when you did not even start looking ???

The first thing you should do is reveal negative feelings that you do not even realize. Many people have such unaware negative feelings. Many are depressed, not realizing their own depression. It is only when they come into contact with joy that they realize how depressed they were. You can not fight a cancer if it has not been detected. You will not find a pest on a farm unless you know its existence. First, therefore, you must realize the very existence of these negative feelings. You ask, what are these feelings? Second, you must accept the fact that these feelings exist in you, and not outside of you. It seems something obviously banal. But is it for sure? Believe me, or not. People have PhDs in philosophy, they are university rectors, but often they can not understand it. Schools did not teach them how to live; everything else was taught, but not this.

Negative feelings exist in you, not in the reality that surrounds you. Do not bother to change it. It's crazy! Do not try to change others. You're wasting time and energy. Do not try to change your spouse, boss, friend, enemy and everyone else. You do not have to change anything. Negative feelings are in you. Nobody in the world can make you happy. Nothing in the world can hurt or cut you. There is no such event, conditions, situation or person. Nobody told you that? They spoke quite the opposite. Now you know why you are in this chaos. Now you can understand why you are in a dream. You have never been told this. But this is understandable by itself.

Suppose the rain interrupted your nice trip. Who is experiencing this fact negatively? Rain or you? What is the cause of this negative feeling? Rain or your attitude?
When you hit your knee on the table, the table is fine. He is busy realizing what he was called to be a table. The pain is in your knee, not in the table. Mystics are still trying to tell us that the reality that surrounds us is perfectly fine. The problems are not in this reality, they are found only in human minds. The reality itself is devoid of problems. What should the problem be? There is no problem. You are the problem. You created problems. You identified "me" with "me" and this is the problem. This feeling is in you, not in reality.

Thirdly, do not identify with this feeling.
It has nothing to do with "I". Do not define the essence of your "I" in terms of this feeling. Do not say, "I'm depressed." If you would say, "It is despondency," you would be closer to the truth.
When you say, "Depression is in me," you act as you say when you say, "I'm blunt in me."
But you do not do foolishly when you say, "I'm bleak," because you define yourself in terms of feeling. It is your illusion, mistake. It is in you - just now - despondency, bitterness, but leave it alone, let them be. They will definitely pass. Everything passes, everything. Your depression and highs have nothing to do with your happiness. They are points on the way that is pushed by the pendulum of your fate. If you are looking for strong impressions and thrills, be prepared for depression. Do you want to take your drug? So, be prepared that you will have a hangover after taking it. The movement of the pendulum in one direction inevitably entails the opposite movement.
This phenomenon has nothing to do with the "I", it has nothing to do with happiness. This applies to "me."

a) identify your negative feelings;

Great article, to which I would add- sit in the most uncomfortable spot in silence and stop running from what you feel, regardless of how "negative" or painful it seems. The only true way to light is through the fog of darkness that we keep on running from or distracting us from by coffee, sex, alcohol, work, partner, social status....etc you name it!
