And what about total brain damage? Sure there is more behind the veil but everything comes from the processing done in the brain. Will you still be you without your memories especially regarding beliefs, morals and conscious...your nature will probably be the same but in some cases of brain damage people can become overly aggressive due to the area of brain damage and the opposite is a frontal lobotomy case study.
We interact through the world through Central Nervous System and that is 90% of everything we do, the other 10% is thoughts, ideas and dreams.
Without our brains we will not be...
Total brain damage is a great example of us not being our brains.
Try this example,
If you had a parent with Alzheimer’s & they lost 95% of their functioning would you no longer consider them to be the same person who raised you? Or would you know they are the same person regardless of that faulty brain?
I’ve seen my dads brain functioning consistently decline for over a decade but he is not any less himself to me. We are not our brains, but they are very important for functioning
I think it's important to uphold peace in situations like this. I'm sorry about your dad, i hope you still have many good days ahead of you.
However it may be what we think doesn't change the color of the sky nor the seasons, but they influence what we say and our actions! And that can change everything...so I choose to say:
May your perceptions keep adding to your life success and abundance!
My dads condition has taught me more than any other life experience.
The ego will trick you into thinking you’re your thoughts & intelligence, but these can easily change. Perhaps we become different to those who know past versions of ourselves, but we will necessarily grow & learn & change for better or worse depending on the observers perspective, however the person experiencing these changes will still be the same consciousness regardless of major changes.

Exactly, not objectively provable, but there is a lot of reasons to believe these nervous systems we use are more like a spaceship than our true identity, at least according to my subjective logic 😊
