Such complete fucking bullshit! Money Money Money and more Money is all our government and Pharmaceutical companies care about! People with life threatening illnesses literally pay all of the hard earned money that they make in order to survive! People diagnosed with cancer go into debt permenately in order for a chance to survive by paying outrageous prices for chemo and other treatments that may not work!
Chronic pain sufferers pay out of the ass for pain medication in order to have somewhat of a decent quality of life! I can go on and on but it is of no use.. Our country is literally an auction. Laws are changed and created to help whatever business has the most money to lobby(but off the government) with! Anyone who actually thinks our nation's healthcare system actually gives one duck about our citizens is not only dumb but ignorant as fuck!
Take Cannabis for example. For years studies have shown that compared to narcotics and other medicines, Cannabis is 100% safer and holds almost no dangerous side effects, yet, with all of the evidence pointing to those facts, our government keeps Cannabis as a schedule 1 drug which means it has the highest possible abuse and addiction rate, is the most harmful physically and has no medical use whatsoever!
This however could not be farther from the actual truth! In fact, there is not one death ever recorded in human history linked to cannabis use alone! It is actually impossible to consume enough cannabis to kill you. It has been proven, unlike every legal pain killer, to give zero physical withdrawal symptoms! Now it is being proved to be the very best aid in patients with epilepsy and there is even some evidence that it could possibly even cure epilepsy!
Yet, our government has it as a schedule 1 drug and even a month ago, decided once again to keep it as a schedule one even though majority of doctors have stated it should be 100% legal medicinally! Now, the reason for cannabis being schedule 1 and remaining a schedule 1 substance might just be the saddest thing of all. It is schedule 1 due to the simple fact that our government is being paid off with billions of dollars from the pharmecutical industry!
The companies that produce multiple narcotics that kill millions of people a year know that they will take a big profit got if cannabis can legally be used. So instead of losing money in their production of horrible medicines, they pay off our government to keep cannabis illegal! Of course the pharmecutical companies are not the only ones paying off our government though.
Big tobacco and alcohol companies are helping with the pay off because they know that if cannabis did become legal, they would see their profits drop as well... It's so depressing yet hilarious at the same time to see our government not give a fuck at all about tobacco, alcohol and deadly narcotics being legal yet a substance with the best track record out of all four in human history is kept illegal and given the schedule 1 label... Its depressing and if you cannot see it for what it is then you need to really open your eyes!

Another day, another infuriating bit of news about Mylan’s pricey — and lifesaving — EpiPen: Pharmaceutical industry experts estimate that the medicine and its auto-injector, for which Mylan charges roughly $300 a pop, cost around $30 to produce.
According to one medical technology consultant cited by NBC News, Mylan might pay even less, maybe as little as $20, for each EpiPen, which cost patients a retail price of more than $600 for a two-pack.
The dose of epinephrine that can prevent a person with allergies from going into fatal anaphylactic shock costs about $1, PA Consulting Group head of medical technologies Kevin Deane said, and the components of the device probably run between $2 and $4. Mylan would also have to pay research and development royalties to Pfizer, which actually manufactures the EpiPen through a subsidiary.
What makes this all the more galling is that Mylan CEO Heather Bresch went on CNBC and tried to blame everyone but Mylan, even though it hiked the price of an EpiPen by more than 500% since 2008.
When that didn’t quell the outrage (surprise, surprise), the company made a big deal of announcing it would make a generic EpiPen — for $300 per two-pack, a price point experts say could possibly even lead to even higher profits for Mylan because production and distribution of generics cut out some of the middlemen that make name-brand drugs cost more.
