A Style Of Painting You have Never Seen.. THE ENTIRE COLLECTION :)

in #life8 years ago

I had the most awesome feedback on all of the sets of paintings I posted. I feel like some didn't get to see all of them, so I am posting the entire collection together!!! Enjoy :)

All done in acrylic paint. Some of them have textures add from paper but it is all on acrylic and canvas. I love dogs of all kinds! I also have a very trippy imagination, I think the two make a very nice combo haha. Why dogs for my imagery? Easy.

Unlike your friends, your dog is not going to cancel accompanying you for a jog around the park. Research has shown that dog owners, have greater self-esteem, tend to be less lonely and are less fearful. Perfect, for those living alone, dogs not only keep them company they smother them with affection. It has also recently been proven that dogs love us back. Scientists in California found that domesticated animals release the "love hormone" oxytocin in intimate situations, just like humans.

Oxytocin is the hormone that make us feel connected and form close bonds in relationships. This was detected when pets interacted with their owners. Burns Pet Nutrition sponsors an organization that helps young children learn to read with the help of their canine companion, the READ program. There’s been a significant amount of evidence to show that children reading to their four legged friends can have a beneficial impact on their literacy, development and confidence.

If you have ever seen a dog chase a spider around the room or his own tail for hours, then you will understand this point. If you haven’t, you are missing out. Dogs and their little quirks are so funny to watch. Dog owners are guaranteed to receive an over excited welcome home every night. Even more so than from our partners and families, dogs are always unashamedly, over-excited to greet you when you get home after a long day.

Everyone knows the stereotype that dogs hassle the postman and bark whenever the door goes. But these habits demonstrate what great protectors they are. This can be annoying but it also makes them great security guards. No burglar is going to get into a dog owners house without the whole street knowing about it. Dogs are companionable and affectionate, anyone who doesn’t like living by themselves or feels lonely, will always have a friend and company if they have a dog.

They’re such personalities and are a real presence in a home that may have felt empty before. Dogs are also a great way to meet people, any dog owner knows that it’s the easiest conversation starter. Neighbors, strangers, fellow dog owners, everyone wants to make friends when you have a lovely dog to talk about. If you have a dog, you may have felt that they can tell when you’re upset.

They change, if they’re always over- excited and needy, they usually become notably calmer. It was recently affirmed that dogs process emotional sounds in the same way as humans. So the brain of a dog reacts in the same way as the human brain when they hear distress, like crying. They can be very comforting in a crisis.

Freedom, power, clarity. Eagle people tend to be ambitious, passionate, intelligent, and playful though they often have a quick temper. Eagle medicine can teach us how to take risks, making a leap of faith when the time is right. Eagle as a totem helps us to embrace and develop a sense of confidence, clarity, righteous judgment, and balance in our lives. Eagle is a tempestuous teacher, but brings deep wisdom and helps us to aspire to greatness.

The elephant is generally considered a symbol of good luck and the animal is a symbol of good fortune. Elephants in Asia are symbolizing a kind of divinity and benevolence and that is why in the recent Asia there are still religious ceremonies where offering is made to the elephants, they wash them and anoint them with special oils and pigments so that the community be blessed with good will. They also symbolize wisdom, loyalty, strength, fidelity and longevity.

Freedom, independence, strong-willed. The mustang is a symbol of hardy survival and a strong, fighting spirit. Mustang people are often born travelers and are very opinionated.

The skyline of Savannah, Ga..where I live. The memories made here will last a life time.

Stubborn, Confident, Capable. Zebra as a totem teaches us to look at opposing viewpoints to every situation, to try to look at things in novel ways. Zebra people can often seem obstinate and argumentative, but also have the ability to work through problems that would have stumped others. Zebra medicine helps us to think outside the box, stand out as strong individuals, and appreciate our personal uniqueness.

Community, sacrifice, wisdom. The buffalo is an intense symbol of life and abundance. Buffalo people are often wise leaders, good providers and gentle in nature but firm in resolve.

Leopard people tend to be independent, graceful and secretive. They are self-assured, aggressive, and are often known as intimidating. Leopard medicine helps people to learn to listen to their own intuition and instinct, and to understand that this sense is just as powerful as logic.

Foresight and vision. The ability to see the big picture while remaining firmly grounded in the reality of the physical world. Giraffe people tend to be practical but creative thinkers, often coming up with novel, integrative ideas. They also tend to be strongly community-minded, and very protective of the people who often come to look up to them for their reliable nature.

Lion Totem Meaning
The lion as a spirit animal or totem symbolizes:

Strength, assertiveness, personal power
A common meaning for the lion spirit animal is predatory feelings, such as anger, aggression directed at someone else or towards you
Personal struggle to deal with these feelings
Lion spirit animals warn about a threatening situation or event in your life

This spirit animal could point to one of your weak spots or a difficult situation you’re experiencing. The lion animal spirit guide is perhaps showing you the way to deal with the issue and keep going with the courage it also embodies.

Lions could also represent an authority that may feel overpowering or a conflicting relationship with power and authority. When you see a lion as a spirit animal, it could symbolize external power, authority, forces that dominate or rule parts of your life. For instance, if you dream about a scar or threatening lion, it may remind you that you need to deal with an overbearing boss, partner or teacher in your waking life.

Lion spirit animal, symbol for anger & personal struggle

Seeing your lion spirit animal could be an invitation to control your temper or your moderate aggressive impulses. For instance, observe if you could really listen to what people have to say before striking back at them. Or explore how to express your needs or anger more openly and constructively to reduce your level of frustration.

If you are dreaming of being chased by a lion, it may represent a situation that brings about personal struggle. Common dream scenarios with threatening lions are as follows: A lion suddenly appears in your dream. You feel threatened by this wild animal known for devouring its prey with no mercy. The lion is now preying on you. You’re trying to escape, but it still behind you, chasing you like you’re about to get devoured.
