Reflection, Resolution , Reinvention : Happy New Year From NYC

New Year's can be an insecure time for those of us who aren't yet OK with the ground we're remaining on, with where and our identity in the present adaptations of our lives. It can be unwelcome for those of us who celebrate in the way that most days pass by without the requirement for reflection and self-judgment. That they pass by without a virtual hand constraining our faces straight up against the water Lion King style, for those of us who are grateful that we don't hear the blasting voice of James Earl Jones resounding from the sky every night, begging us to recall our identity. In any case, too bad, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day are not generally days.

They are the days when we can't resist the urge to gaze our lives and ourselves straight in the face, when we are compelled to judge what we see genuinely with a specific end goal to measure where we are, the place we're heading and if where we're heading is the place we truly need to go. This constrained self-reflection, increased either by a post-Christmas overextension of family time, liquor, or both, can without much of a stretch prompt an amplification of what we've chosen are our most glaring weaknesses and a concealing of what we too effectively overlook are our most noteworthy qualities. It can be a period that drives us to indecencies of self-uncertainty, evasion and lament. Be that as it may, I don't think it must be.

I think this season and the angsty reflection that accompanies it can likewise be an opportunity to give ourselves a genuinely necessary get up and go talk. An opportunity to help ourselves to remember what we've cherished about our lives and ourselves in 2013, and to approve of the considerable number of blemishes in that. To love them, even, those flaws, since they've made us our identity, right now.

Imagine a scenario where we paused for a minute this New Years to close our eyes. And keeping in mind that our eyes are shut, we let ourselves consider every one of the feelings of dread, concerns and nerves we have about the bearing our lives are taking? And keeping in mind that we do this, we won't consider ourselves a casualty of New Year's tension, however rather a main thrust in its creation?

And after that, once every one of those apprehensions and concerns are at the bleeding edge of our psyches, imagine a scenario where, rather than feeling like we're suffocating in them, we have an inclination that we're relaxing in them. We should pause for a minute this New Year's to truly consider who and what we've gotten the opportunity to see and experience every day, every week, and every month in the previous year. I was able to join steemit back in June which competently changed my life financially and mentally.

2018 I have big dreams , not resolutions. In 2018, I plan to take my life a step further for my son . I plan on taking my LSAT Exam this year , and then finally going to Law School after . Somewhere in the middle I'd like to work hard enough on this platform to which I’d be able to give a down payment for a house my family and I would like to buy. I know these dreams sound big , but if you do not aim big , what’s the point of setttling for less ?
