I used to believe that these guys suck out life from anywhere they are, until I realized that i am the one who gives them attentive ear. And live their stories in terms of empathy. Now every time I have to listen I keep reminding myself “Not my circus, not my monkeys.” and become aware of whatever I feel during this encounter. Now I become mentally and emotionally diconnected from the dialogue once I detect its negative direction. Thanks @journeyoflife for bringing up this topic because the majority of us fall prey to these people well articulated drama.
