Custom Book Shelves/Entertainment Center 1800's Reclaimed Wood

This was built for a local Hollywood stuntman. He wanted the dining room tv wall to have custom bookshelving on either side of the wall. The tops to the base cabinets and the fixed center shelves are made from Heart Pine Beams Reclaimed Wood from an 1800's southern Ga barn. We had to split the beam down the center and Hand plained the split beam down to a flat surface on the edges, we would have done this with our joiner but the motor went out. When we finally got the boards flat enough we joined the two edges together and set them to make a shelf and top. I enjoy working on these projects that involve old reclaimed wood, but any project is fun as long as we get to be artistic with it. Thanks for looking.
