Slavery has not been abolished, only put on the payroll - [First part]
I've been thinking more and more that life is happening to me working 10 to 12 hours a day, a day off per week, which is basically to put the things of the week a day and prepare to continue work the next day.
It particularly affected me that this weekend were two days of rest, the first time so far this year, a holiday on Monday, and both Monday and Sunday free.
I told myself:

I say this because of the following: after months in Bogotá, in addition to multiple conversations with friends who are in other countries, I realize that it is a pattern that is repeated, exploitation by some citizens, and I must clarify in this point is not that I am a lazy person who does not like to work, in fact in my country I had work guards for 24 and even 36 hours (for my profession), but they offer jobs to Venezuelans, who still like My case is legal in the country that receives us, and they want to offer salaries below the minimum, and even if we are going to work as qualified professionals, due to the fact that they are not native to the country, they offer you less than what is legally required.
A psychologist friend, already approved and collegiate in Ecuador, they were paying less than they should, dared to ask that they adjust their legal fees and the contractor said no, because she was a foreigner.
That is, the fact that they give you the job is appreciated, but instead of taking advantage (in good measure and in a good way) that the country has not invested anything in the training of those thousands of professionals that we have (out of obligation) come out of. our country of origin and benefit their nation, what they do is take advantage, exploit and discriminate. I must here note that they are not all, fortunately.
In the center of Bogotá there are commercial establishments that offer trial work for a week, without remuneration, at the end of the week, they say that it does not work like that, and they do not leave them as employees, then they do the same with another during a week. more weeks, and so on, they have workers for months in trial mode, they never pay anyone, they exploit them, and is that not slavery?
In most countries of the world, at least on paper slavery has been abolished, but the reality is different, and all this (and more) occurs in the view of governments, without much being done. for stopping this, maybe because it is benefited or because some of those who take advantage of the situation of misfortune of some are part of that government, I know it is hard what I say, but I have no doubt that behind all this socio-economic structure there are governments, transnationals, and other entities benefiting directly.

Indeed in current days we're becoming "modern slaves". Our parents generation has been living through "best times". Our kids will have it even more difficult than we did.
Gap between those who "have" and those who don't is only getting bigger every year.
Wow. that's a lot. Do you work online or more "regular" job? I noticed that you're quite active on Steemit and I was just wondering if your job position allows you to be active on platform.
Work guards? What does it mean? Would you mind sharing with me what was your profesion? Just curious.
ps. Correct me if I'm wrong. Aren't you Venezuelan? Or Colombian? I'm a bit confused. Or perhaps you migrated?

First, I am Venezuelan, and for 7 months I have been living in Bogotá, Colombia. I am a nurse and medical surgeon by profession, when I say the guards is that here is known as work days in the health area. for now, I am not practicing my profession in this country, it has been somewhat complex for all the bureaucracy.
It is a process of months to achieve, but with hopes that it will be. the situation of Venezuela has complicated the legalization of my papers to validate internationally. But hope that sr can, this. As for my activity in steemit, yes, I do and a lot. Because of my current job I have free time while I'm transporting, that's the moment I dedicate to write from my phone. I have an app that makes what I say in letters, and that makes the process easier for me. I manage everything from the cell phone.
I think I have answered your questions.
Around the post, I also believe that our parents and grandparents can enjoy a little more of certain things than ourselves.
One last thing, I forgot to mention, is that I sleep a little, after years of working in the health sector my sleeping habits are 4 to 6 hours a day, no more than that, that allows me even more time to interact in steemit, besides to read other things.
