As difficult to stay as leaving Venezuela

To many I hear and I see complaining about the situation in my country, both economically and socially, due to the absence of food and medicine, high costs, insecurity, failures in public services (lack of water and electricity per day) between many things more, I know, I also lived it until a few months ago, and those were among many other reasons that made me take the decision to emigrate.

Well, these are hard realities faced by my friends and relatives who remain in Venezuela.
Leaving the country is seen as the only option for some, for others it is a desperate measure, which must be postponed, thought and planned.

For visiting my blog thank you very much

Welcome to my new publication.

I have a clearer vision of what it means to emigrate, based on what I have lived so far.

In my case, living in Bogota, I can affirm that you earn to eat, dress, pay rent (rent in my country), help your people in Venezuela, it's true.

But all this is possible if you are lucky enough to get a fixed job, with remuneration according to what the law determines.

This is an important detail, and it is not always easy to locate a good job.

In the case of the professionals who make the decision to leave it is not always easy for us to exercise our professions, since the bureaucracy is everywhere, complicating the process of homologation of titles in the country that receives us, besides being expensive , this implies that you must work for months to be able to have the money and channel all those procedures.

But you also know that your level of education will be better valued, so cheer up, do not fall into despair.

There is something that some people say before and you do not understand it until you have to live it, it is the fact that you have to adapt to a new climate, new flavors, smells, dress, shoes, new words and phrases, other ways of socializing , in short many novel things.

Virtually everything is foreign to you, new.

And although economically you can be better, emotionally affected by the fact of being away from your family, you miss the fact that your grandmother receives you with a cup of freshly made coffee or that you think these are very thin and try to make you fat in a single day, not being able to play with your nephews, if a relative dies you know it will be difficult to go to his funeral, nor can you meet by chance with a friend from high school or college who had a long time without seeing.

Many things that stop happening or rather, many things happen but different from the usual, to which you were accustomed, that is why to make that decision must think very well, because I have seen many Venezuelans with strong psychological impact for all this new reality that you have to assume, it is not easy, of course not, but it is not impossible to cope, we must focus on the good that all this has brought to our lives, in what we are learning, knowing, looking for ways to give the best of us and keep in mind that wherever we are we have part of Venezuela with us.

FORWARD, we can not stop, regardless of the place that gives us asylum.

Until next time, thank you for reading me.
