You Are Amazing

You are an atom in the cosmic landscape, yet you contain the Cosmos inside you.

You are aware of the thoughts, and the thinking of those thoughts, yet you know there is no “thinker” … but you are one.

You have the gift of compassion, which takes you outside of our primal urges and allows you to question the destruction of our species.

You are aware of the flow behind the river of Life, and know that you cannot control it, while you die trying to.

You create, you write, you express … even if no one is listening. But the truth is we all are hearing the sound of silence which contains your creation.

YOU. ARE. AMAZING.

So have the compassion and the wisdom to let those who stray from our potential follow their path to its end.

Those who would destroy buildings in media-induced rage, those who “rise” against the current behind the flow of life only to be washed away, and those who spout hateful words out of anger, angst, and exasperation.

All of this pent up frustration released in a fury of rage that only leaves destruction on a small part of a speck of dust being shined on by a star. The Universe doesn’t even notice.

The moral, ethical, and political battles that take place inside a messy cloud of existential understandings have only temporary “victors,” momentary “conquests,” and time-limited “triumphs.” Then the whole process begins again, with new skirmishes, battles, and wars … that all end in destruction.

When Oppenheimer famously declared Now I am become Death, destroyer of worlds … I wonder if perhaps he was talking about this endless cycle instead of just the atomic bomb?

You have been blessed with a gifts of compassion, choice, and understanding. Wherever that leads you, we are all following.
