Anger is: a double-edged sword

in #life7 years ago

wp_ss_20180227_0005.pngIt is common to see people who are angry for any kind of reasons, from the simple, how angry that someone does not pay attention to something much more serious, as the injustice that floods the world.

However, the truth is that in our day to day anger tends to arise for trivial reasons, according to Seneca anger could be classified as a temporary madness; Even in cases where it is justified, as when an injustice occurs, we should never act motivated by anger.

From Seneca you might interpret that: some emotions affect our judgment, but anger directly affects our sanity, the emotions that affect our judgment, come as gentle attacks that go unnoticed, but our mind is prone to Falling abruptly into anger affecting our sanity.

Seneca was referring to the fact that, often the intensity with which we respond to anger is not related to the cause that caused it otherwise, it happens with other functions. For example, if we win 500 dollars in the lottery we will be happy, but if we win 500,000 dollars we will be elated. The same applies in the case of losses, where the magnitude of our sadness depends on the degree of loss and its meaning.

Anger doesn't happen that way. Since we dare to respond in a disproportionate way to her cause.

Some people respónden with excessive anger at any opinion that goes against their thinking patterns, but anger, in addition to causing harm to others, also affects who suffers.

Anger is like an acid, which can do more damage to the container where it is stored, than in anything on which it is added.

Very true, I think it was the Buddha who said the "anger is holding on to hot coal in your hand intending to throw it at another, but you only end up getting burned. T

hat quote is very true, I have anger issues. I've had problems with road rage, punching holes in the walls, and loud yelling matches a lot. After introspection I learned that this came from frustration, and sadness from me not being able to handle my own issues. After that I decided to take hold, and become the best version of myself that I can be!
