Set yourself free from your limiting beliefs!
Limiting Beliefs
This will be quite the post and something that you will work on for quite a while!
After this though, your personal development will go through the roof, because you have a sense of freedom and relaxation and a form of natural attractiveness will appear as well.
Does this sound so appealing, so much that it cannot be true?
I have good news for ya, it is true!

Understanding where it comes from
We are non stop feeling, seeing, hearing, etc etc our outside world and thank god we are not literally sensing everything at the same time or our minds would go kaboom!
So in short, we are filtering some of the stuff out, we do it unconsciously, so we have no idea that we are doing it.
Does this make us bad people or horrible? Nope, we are just not always conscious of what we are doing and sometimes even fully ignorant.
Do we then still need to be punished for mistakes, it depends, yes or no. There are always things that we should keep in our conscious mind.
But that is aside from the point, there are many ways of filtering and together with some exercises for you to do, this post will be all about it.
Then we end up with some massive brain rework for yourself, take your time with it.

Our filtering ways
There are a couple of ways in how we filter, let's show them:
Deletion
We delete large amounts of our experiences, deletion is essential as we need to be selective about using our attention. You kinda expected this one to start off and this is the simple definition of it.
Distortion
We use distortions to bring meaning to our world; distortion adds weight to our beliefs and
values, and is the basis for our creativity as well as our paranoia.
Think about that you have heard something and thinking Oh My Hathor this is not true, there is a monster in the closet or ghosts etc…
Well this is a good example, yet using the view of the artist of abstract art or certain other forms of art uses this distortion in his/her work. As if they are living in two worlds at the same time…
Generalisation
Generalisation makes things easy for you, connects different situation as one and thinking about the same end result, because it happened before.
They can keep you and give you a false sense of safe, but you can also feel defeated, because you have been hurt before.
This also have 2 sides on the coin, it can make your work easy, but also your life difficult!
The best and worst part of this is as well that we decide our actions accordingly to what and how we have filtered.
So the first little exercise that i give you with this is:
Think about a task that you are doing
Do you feel like working towards pleasure or that you are trying to protect yourself or running away from pain?
After doing this small exercise, we are going to dive a bit deeper and create some clarity for yourself and giving you a good start working on it!

Filtering like a boss!
When you filter something out, like stated before it has good and bad sides.
This is what this next bit is going to be about!
Think about situations that because of any reasons you deleted or forgot something on purpose and reflect why you did it.
Do this, but then towards something positive and that it worked out alright in the end.
Next step is that you do the negative version of distortion, when did you have the wrong idea about something, because of how you perceived and changed the information?
Now do this in the positive way, to from a creative outlet till being able to help people around you.
Negative generalisations, what kind of limiting beliefs, stopping from opening you up do you have?
Now we continue on the positive side of it, what made generalisation easier after you started using it?
If you want to make a list out of this feel free, i can say you can be surprised with the answers you give and that things start to notice or crack a bit around your personality.
This is good and do not be afraid!
We are only getting warmed up!

Also when having questions about yourself and how to solve any of the issues and you are getting stuck, this is the time to contact me!
Lets delete our limits!
After the ending of the last exercise, we now continue with something that has a lot to do with it and goes even deeper.
Be prepared before doing this, it is a battle of the ego and your authentic Self, this can take months or for some years to work on, yet it is worth the battle.
You gain a lot of things… After winning this battle.
Lets start simple:
When doing the last exercise, you have the negative things also on a list, this is just a part of your limiting beliefs.
Write down anything that not only generalises, comes from distortion or deletion, but anything that gets you down in faith in yourself, like i cannot or i can’t, or it is like it is etc etc.
Anything that creates limitations!
- After you are done and have reflected on all that you have written down.
We now go to make a new list!
Write down the things that you have and want.
Now write down the things that you do not have and do not want.
Now write down what you can’t have and want.
Now write down what you have and do not want.
Now we go back to the other list of our limiting beliefs, start comparing.
Now start asking sceptical questions about your limiting beliefs (each of them 3 questions), you start to notice that when doing this in combination with what you want, but do not have yet that a lot of things are becoming way more clear!
In the end after these questions, ask yourself WHY!!!??? Why did you believe something like that in the first place?
Afterwards question about the evidence surrounding with your personal new ideas of that limiting belief.
You now notice that it starts to crumble and become fluid, change them into something positive! Change your limitations into your strengths!
Wow, these were quite the exercises and for me personally this changed a lot of my personal perceptions as well! It even helped me turn my life around when it was needed.
