good tips - always best to get started early. Movers can be very expensive so it's good to shop around - look into PODS - that's another option for moving a houseful of stuff. I'm sick of moving furniture - next time I move - I will probably use movers. We always do a major yard sale before we move so we don't take a bunch of junk with us.
Agreed. One crazy idea which was kind of brilliant was I knew an investor that would hire a moving crew and get them to load the truck. Then he would hire a second moving crew (first didn't realize it) and had them unload the truck. This way, he got more done because the movers were not tired or milking the clock at the end. He was an interesting guy.
