IMAGINE THIS LIFE AFTER 50 YEARS
This reflection has just came to mind few days back as I was part of a health week program. This program was to sensitize the young generation about the impact of their health and the future they hold. Very many topics were covered such as fitness, investment, behaviours and education. Moreover, the overall aspect of the discussion was centered unto our personal health and and a life in our old age.
Here is the little I did manage to recall:
Know who you are: Well, all of us exist but only few live. Most people have embrassed technological advancements, focusing on some updated and revolutionary innovations while forgetting to focus on their personal self. Knowing who you are, simply means to know your inner self and not just following the mass. Among students , this happens. When one person does this act, obviously others will follow which could lead to purpose deviations or simply to live without any goal.
Mind your Health: Most people don't really care of the food or diet their choose to eat. In African perspective, everything eaten has no time. Meaning real food is also eaten in the morning, meaning lunch will be skipped and may be facing an other hard meal in the late hours. No respect of time or either quality of food that is being consumed. In the future, this can lead to some body malformation and disorders which can lead to some body issues in old years.
Practice Godliness: This aspect was a great milestone most to the young generation. In otherwords, youth were cautions to stop on their sexual intercourse incase they haven't yet been confirmed by both the church and the state. This had a serious meaning and great impact to the present generation which can't really keep themselves in ways that are could keep them away from God'd presence. Moreover, issues such as pregnancies, HIV/AIDS and many other will be solved by just abstinence.
Plan your finances: Most people were cautions to start saving for their retirement. Well, this was still an other milestone since most of them had no jobs or just little for subsistence. Still, saving little among the little coins will add something great in the future. This way will also protect the youth from being dependent and earn some passive income when the body can't really do much.
Don't forget your root: In old ages, some will be successful but also others won't be but in all it's better to always remember and support those that really added value to your existence but also to give a chance to there people to try their best out of your supportive action
