Is art (any art form) pointless or essential?
Of course art is essential. Art is one of the most important things in the world. Setting aside all the technological advancements that man has made art is of great importance. Art is a way of expressing that which cannot be expressed. It is a form of communication that while not direct, is still powerful. Be it literature or sculptures or paintings, every art work possesses a part of its creator. It's as if the artist imbues his work with a piece of himself without even knowing it. Artwork can also have many sides, angles and views to it. Sometimes, paintings are analyzed and different people see different things. While one person may see a work of art that depicts pure sorrow, another may see it from another angle that depicts tears of joy and not sorrow. Art is important to humanity as a whole and should never be cast aside
