1. Bathrooms enough for everyone
   Most families can make do for a few nights sharing one bathroom, but if you’re planning on being on vacation for a long period of time or if you have a large family or are sharing your vacation rental with many people, bathrooms enough for all are a must.

In many cases, even having an added bathroom that just contains a toilet can be helpful. That way, even when people are taking showers non-stop for the first half of the day, others can still go to the loo. The same goes for going to bed. Usually on vacation, there are early sleepers, and you don’t want the bathroom to be clogged up with everyone brushing their teeth and getting ready for bed when an equal number of people still need to get in just to use the restroom.

1. Air conditioning or heating, depending on the season
   Depending on the season, make sure your vacation rental has air conditioning or heat. A vacation can be ruined when it’s just too hot in the dead of summer. In the same way, if you don’t have the proper heating, your vacation can be ruined as you end up frozen to death even while you’re still actually inside.

2. WiFi
   We know that going on vacation means getting away from it all, but let’s get real. We can’t be away from everything all the time. Having WiFi is a great amenity to request for your vacation rental.

You should try not to use it nonstop and instead enjoy your vacation a little more, but if you do decide to have this amenity, you can at least use it to stream movies or just music. You can also keep in touch with friends and family, which can be fun and even necessary for some people.

1. A Nice Kitchen
   You didn’t go to a hotel. You rented a vacation unit. This means that you’re going to be eating some of your meals or maybe even most of them at your rental and not out and about at restaurants. In this case, you need to make sure that your kitchen is a nice one.

No one wants to be on vacation with a dirty kitchen that doesn’t have a dishwasher or a good oven. Even if you don’t have television, a hot tub or surround sound, having a nice kitchen is a must.

1. Laundry
   No one looks forward to doing laundry on vacation, but think about it. Wouldn’t you much rather be able to do your laundry at your rental location when the alternative means going into town and using the local laundromat? We think laundry in the vacation rental is always the best idea.
