Consumption was the black death, the raven stalking Poe all his life. He was a man beset by horror and his brilliant mind failed to comprehend the dark realities of his existence...so he wrote poems and stories. Hmm, sounds like something I'd do :)
This was an artfully constructed post - it was well-written and beautifully illustrated. I liked the formatting of the poem. It's an art to make another era's literature accessible to a modern audience. Even the Simpson's managed that but not as elegantly :)
