True. No one is ever completely good or bad. Some people just have more good qualities than others.

No. We are bad. We are born bad. We have to learn how to be good. We have to choose to become good. But it is a choice to become better, to improve. But we are not perfect and we fail. We also need help in becoming not as bad. But we begin as bad, as evil. We are all evil until we take the time to ask for help to improve.
You are right about the part that improving yourself is a choice and how none of us are perfect, but I don't think I'd call it evil to be born with survival instincts that make you do greedy things without your knowledge.
Evil is when we know and are conscious of the fact that we are harming others on purpose. I don't think it's evil if your intention was not to harm others, even if you might have unknowingly caused them harm.
