RE: Circles, endings and beginnings

Oh wow Fiona properties took on a whole new life in the 1990's in Johannesburg, thankfully we were out of there. Hope this is the end of the road on that property for once and for all for your sanity!

The housing rates if I remember correctly went up as high as 28%, being young home owners with young children life became very budget wise, pretty tight at some points. We survived and still enjoy living in the same home.

Throwing in the towel in Johannesburg in 1980, moving to the coast took a massive hit on earnings, never looked back and made it work.

Thanks, Joan. I moved there in 86. You are right, they did go up to 28% - can't remember exactly when. It was a bit of a nightmare. And being sectional title, the nightmare continues...

Purchased our home in 1982, REPO went up to 20% and higher during the years 1983-1985 then again 1998-1999 were very difficult years to get through.

Sectional title must be a difficult way to transact when as you mentioned half the owners have done a run and neglected their legal duties in following procedures.
